100% ON SITE Position - Salary Range 50K - 60K

Summary 
Under the direction of the Director of Procurement the Associate Buyer is responsible for the day-to-day purchasing of materials, equipment and supplies taking into account cost, quality and timeliness. They will also be assisting other Buyers in the team.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary from time to time.
  • Analyze, calculate and monitor inventory levels.
  • Place and purchase materials in line with company needs.
  • Timely and effective communication of forecasts and purchase orders to vendors
  • Develop and maintain good vendor relationships.
  • Collaborate with internal departments when vendor issues arise.
  • Partner with other team members to provide purchasing support.
  • Complete assigned reports and special projects.

  Education and/or Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; or an Associate degree required and 1 - 3 years of related experience preferred.
  • High level of computer literacy, to include Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to work with others
  • Ability to complete purchase orders, schedules and assigned reports.
