Summary
Under the direction of the Director of Operations, the Shower Door Assistant Production Manager ensures the production of company products is of the highest quality, meeting company performance standards and customer specifications and delivery requirements, in accordance with company policies and procedures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary from time to time.
  1. Prioritize, schedule, and delegate work assignments, and directly supervise to ensure the production of company products at the highest quality, meeting company performance standards, and customer specification and delivery requirements, in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  2. Review & maintain raw material inventory with purchasing and adjust schedules, as necessary.
  3. Ensure the training of new and present employees in the processes and methods required to achieve the company’s standards for quality, safety, and delivery.
  4. Participate in Production Meetings, recommending space, personnel, and equipment requirements.
  5. Assist Inventory Management Team with Cycle Counts, Semi and Annual inventories.
  6. Communicate with Manager, Dealer Support and Fulfillment regarding delivery dates of possible back orders.
  7. Have a broad knowledge and understanding of Lean Concepts i.e. Streamlined Processes, Kaizen, JIT, SMED, FIFO etc.
  8. Ensure compliance with 5S standards and all safety and work rules and regulations.
  9. Approve vacation schedules.
  10. Establish and maintain operational documentation controls, and standard operating procedures i.e. records, documentation, such as timecards, quality records, etc.
  11. In Collaboration with Quality and Safety Managers, develop and implement SOPs for best practices.
  12. Follow all Safety, Quality and Environmental Procedures.
  13. Continually evaluate processes and methods, recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment, performance, utilization of people, and quality of product.
  14. Maintain departmental supplies, tools, equipment, and order, as necessary.
  15. Act as a technical resource to address and resolve inquiries and problems; analyze and resolve work problems and assist workers in solving work problems.
  16. Uphold the Company Code of Conduct Standards.

  Education and/or Experience
  • Requires a Bachelor’s degree and 7 – 10 years of related experience; or an associate degree and 5 years of progressively responsible related experience or a combination of both.          
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to work with others across all teams/departments.

During the performance of his/her work duties regularly lift up to 50 pounds and will frequently lift up to 25 pounds, such as removing materials from shipping containers.

The employee works in a warehouse environment and is occasionally exposed to work near moving mechanical parts, work in high places, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, outdoor weather conditions and risk of electrical shock.  The noise level in the work environment is loud.
